religion issues in a military divorce

My husband of almost 3 years is filing for a divorce...we've been separated since the 1st of October. (he had just returned from his 2nd deployment to Iraq 3 weeks before) everything was goin great but he started going to this new church and we had an argument our last weekend because "being with (me) is like walking with the Devil" (he is Christian and I don't declare I'm any religion but I do believe in God and pray to God..i respected his religious beliefs and would even go to his church with our toddler to support him -4 times a weekend minimum of 3 hrs each service..i was there)SO...after that argument I obviously wasn't going to stay with someone who is comparing me to the devil..I told him that I was glad he found a religion and is changing to become a better person and if I was an obstacle...then I would move out of the way. I packed my things...along with our son's things..and moved into my parents while this all sorted out. He is stationed in Camp Pendleton (in San Diego) and my parents live in Los Angeles.

He has cheated on me throughout our marriage. And when I had proof I would confront him and he's promise to change because he loved us. He has suffereed from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder 2 years ago after his 1st deployment. He stopped being unfaithful for a few months. But then he left to Iraq again. And now this religion thing happened.

His mother and I never got along. But just a few weeks ago I found out he has a "thing" with the pastor's daughter...who is a single mother of 2 and is 32 years old. (we're both 21) and so I called his mom to talk about that..she said she has left that church because she realized the corruption in there. I retrieved a voicemail she left to my husband in which she repeatedly said that she loves him and has never been happier before. I have emails he sent to girls thru craigslist...and emails he's exchanged.

He and I had talked about me being a stay-at-home mom until our child was old enough to talk so we could send him to daycare and I could start college. I haven't had a job since 2006. My husband sends $375 every 2 weeks for our child...since the military pays him more for being a husband and father but I'm not sure how much.

We haven't talked or seen each other in over a month because we had a really big fight and we both became a little aggressive. He hasn't even asked how his son is doing. I have been speaking his his sergeants and they don't think he needs counseling and they are willing to help in anyway.

Now...my question is....can he get any kind of custody? He's in San Diego Mon-Fri. Friday nights he drives down to Los ANgeles but hardly sees his son. (Before our last fight he would come see his son once a weekend for about 15-30 mins) I don't want him to get weekend custody because I am scared he'll take my son to that church. I am not against religion but don't want my son to go to a church where they are telling my husband I'm a witch. (yeah...the "prophet" [pastor's daughter] told him I am into witchcraft and my husband believes anything they say since they use God's name)

what are the possible outcomes of all of this? I know it sounds ridiculous. And I know it's hard to believe that anyone believes these kinds of things...I don't even know how this came to happen. Any input will help...please.
