i live here in iowa. My ex cheated on me when i was 6 months pregnant now im 8 months along. He wanted to have a baby with me, he even told me that i didn't need to get a job because he would support me and wouldn't leave me either .I moved out of the apartment and the girl moved in. When i found this out i told him that i don't want my baby to be up there around her. He told me that he's going to take me to court for it. The reason i don't want my son up there is because she's been in trouble with D.H.S.she has only 2 of her kids.she almost lost custody of 2 out of 3 kids because of her drinking,she's gotten in trouble with drugs in her past, she bought alcohol for minors, and got in trouble by the cops. This past year my ex went to Texas and got in trouble for possesion of cocaine.they will have 3 kids living in a 2 bedroom apartment. i heard that they have a roommate with 3 of her own kids living there also. I'm living in a stable environment with my mom.i have everything my son needs and got them myself without my ex's help. I told him that he could come visit my son where I'm living or go to a friends house, he told me no and he told me that he can take my son around whomever he wants. Could you please help with what i need to do and what will or could happen

First off, you do have very good reasons for not wanting your child around that, but 2nd you will need to get a lawyer. If you have never been married and you are in a stable enviroment, you can possibly get him visitation rights with someone present, for the father, with the reasons you just listed, but you also need to get child support, and that needs to be in the papers also.

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
