    financial help while separated

My husband and I have three young children and we've been separated for the past year and he hasn't helped out financially with the kids. Is there anything I can do or could you give me any advice on how to get him to start supporting the kids? Or do I only get help with child support after our divorce is finalized?

First off get a lawyers free consulation, if you have not done so yet, it is also important to research the lawyer you are planning on useing.  Have you started the divorce process is another question.  Most states, if you have started your divorce process, you can get temporary assistance for child support.  You can talk to a lawyer also about, if the process has not been started, about getting child support, sometimes when the mother of the children has to start the process from a dead beat father, the father will end up having to pay the lawyer if your case wins, so ask your lawyer about that also.  Not all areas are the same on this, so it is good to get that FREE consultation about your areas, rights.
