Getting Child Support Lowered.

It is one of those things that is dreaded between 2 parents, but the economy is causing a lot of issues for a lot of families, my brother hitting hard with work and paying child support.  Which has brought up a few child support informational blogs and answering questions lately.

Unfortunately, we do not want to have to go through this child support situation, and if you also have another understanding parent this is important, but remember even if you go make sure that child support adjustments are put in writing,  you never want to agree on something verbally when it comes to child support then years down the road be paying a back pay or being in court.

My brother had also done this many years ago with his child support when he got cut back at work, and unfortunately his ex hit him for back pay in child support that actually has hurt him bad, even making payments, where she verbally agreed and he thought would work out fine....never do this no matter how well you get along, things happen.

Now he has got cut back extremely at work and is struggling to even put food on his table, and is going through the process of getting his child support lowered, now as long as the spouses work together this can be a non costly issue, going through a lawyer and everything goes smooth and in most cases it can, why take someone to court for child support when you know they are only getting 20 hours of work a week.

So what is the moral to this blog, it is one of the things I like to discuss and its working together, working together as parents instead of fighting and holding grudges is important, life moves on, things change, its best to make the most out of life instead of using it to fight.  Plus children do better when parents get a long.

Times are hard right now, and many families are struggling, child support is another thing for many families, but work together, and remember getting things in writing, even if you do get along...my heart goes out to so many.

If you have child support questions please ask, if you need to get something off your chest talk about it!
