Child Support Discussion.

Child support is a big issue.  Some people stay in relationships, unhappy relationships, just so they do not have to pay child support.  Not only is this unhealthy for the couple in the marriage, but the children as well.  If you think about it, if you are a working father or mother, you are already providing for your children, so child support is the same thing.  So it is important to realize not to stay in a very unhealthy relationship, just because you do not want to pay child support.  This can cause problems for even future relationships, and your children. With anything there is going to be problems, split homes can be just as tough on a child, but is it as bad as seeing parents that despite each other?  You are dealing with child support issues now, but also, clothes, school and many other things will become issues, but parents should work together on many things, and seeing a therapist for every one is important also.  So now that we have discussed the importance of moving on in a relationship and paying child support for your child, is just like caring for them while a couple is still together, there are just other issues couples will have to deal with, but having children in a healthy environment is important.    This is also another good question, why should an ex that is not paying child support, still be allowed to see the child?  So let’s talk about some of the penalties that can happen to an ex that is not paying child support.  Sometimes license are pulled from the non custodial parent, this means they will not only have to go through all the back pay of child support, setting up payments and getting their license back.  You would honestly just think people could be more responsible and take care of their children, but in some areas, we even see the non custodial parent flee after having their license pulled, or just ignore the fact and get rides from other people and go on about life….is it really that bad taking care of your child?  Come on people!  You can also be put in jail for not paying child support.   So let’s really discuss…..is the penalties for not paying child support really harsh enough.  Most parents think it’s not Most non custodial parents do not realize they can set up a payment plans that will also best fit their life.  The custodial and non custodial parent really should sit down and discuss child support issues and payments, with each other.  One getting along with each other for the children is important, even if you can’t live together, its important that you remain somewhat friends, and can discuss child support and all healthcare needs for your children. I hope this blog helps parents asking themselves if they should stay in a relationship just because they won’t have to pay child support, is really the thing to do?
