Pennsylvania Child Support Guidelines

Every state has different guidelines, to how child support is handled and paid.  In all states they want the child support to also be fair.  The different amounts of child support to be paid can be from how much you make at your job to how many children you have.  In the Pennsylvania guidelines there was a guidelines set up that they children would receive the same amount of child support wither the children come from divorce, single or separated parents, and they should receive the same amount as the children whose parents were still together.  The obligations of the Pennsylvania guidelines are to be fair and reasonable and it is the non custodial parent that pays the support.  In most child support cases through out the United States it is the non custodial parent who does pay the child support.  Over the next few months we will be discussing the different guidelines through out each state.  Most the time every state has around the same guidelines. So what are some of the Pennsylvania support guidelines?  Here is a list of the child support guidelines if you are living in this state, and looking to gather information for child support, wither the custodial or non custodial parent.
  1. Each child must be treated equal.  Each child that belongs to the same parent will also receive equally the same support and treatment.
  2. There is a consistency in support awards, especially in similar cases.
  3. Child care cost must be shared, and this is based on both parents net income.
  4. Each child support case is reviewed and updated every four years.  They look for changes in economic, social and legal conditions.
  5. Low income non custodial parents retain their sufficient income so that they can meet their basic needs, so they will maintain incentive to continue working. Every ones needs are looked into. We want the non custodial parents to pay child support.
  6. A written or recorded finding is required that shows the guideline amount or amount of, and reasons for deviation if the guideline amount of support is not ordered.
  7. Emphasis is places on net incomes or earnings of each parent with allowable deviations, for say unusual needs, outrageous expenses, or any other factors that should warrant special attention.
I hope this helps, if you are looking into Pennsylvania child support guidelines.
